Flight of the Princess

A piece I did for a contest titled "Once Upon a Time... in Space!" I had to make a painting based around this theme. It was a fun challenge, I added a sci-fi twist to the medieval elements we are used to see in classic fairy tales.

This time the theme was empty with no constraints!

This week's theme was fragile! Also, there was a color palette constraint which I left at the top corner of the painting.

Dishonest was the word this time. Also, we had a pretty cool restriction which was to only be able to use black and white. This is what i came up with.

This week's theme was calculated and calm. I went more for a mood this time, attempting some unnatural blue lighting to strengthen the uncanny feeling of this scene.

Challenge 1

A co-worker and I decided to start doing some art challenges together. This week, we had to create a character based on the theme "hungry".

I came up with this girl who absolutely cannot cook anything edible even though she tries her best... Hence she is always hungry. Its a fun challenge, I look forward to completing the next one!

Life Drawing 2013

I went to a few life drawing sessions the past months. They are usually around 3 hours long with one pose. I do enjoy them quite a lot and will try to go a lot more this year! Here are some pictures I took of the sketches I made:

2014

Its a New Year and it is time to start going through it to the fullest! Since I started working as a full time concept artist, I came to realize that even though I am busy with painting all day, I haven't been productive on personal projects at all. So this is me giving myself the first push to a productive year filled with many new art pieces! Here's a fun and simple night time doodle. Until next time!
